Wondrous World Records Presents Debut Single, “Come Fill This House”, By Worship Leader Whitney Curry
(Washington, DC) – September 23, 2015 – Wondrous World Records was started in 1998 by the late Bishop Restine T. Jackson III, the father of popular Gospel artist Restine Jackson. The label, known primarily for Restine Jackson & Grace, is introducing a brand new artist to its roster. Whitney Curry & Anointed, a gifted praise and worship ensemble, has just released a brand new single. The debut, “Come Fill This House”, led by Whitney Curry, the sister of Restine Jackson, is getting rave reviews, showcasing the amazing vocal talents of Curry.
Wondrous World Records will be celebrating the new release during “A Night To Remember” on Sunday, September 27th at 5:00PM. The event will be held at Word of Grace Worship Center (12353 Washington Square, Waldorf, MD 20601), pastored by Whitney’s husband, Pastor Dominic Curry and Co-Pastor Whitney Curry herself. Hosted by Stellar Award Winning Gospel Announcer and Program Director Tracy Morgan, the concert will feature Restine Jackson and Darrell Brown in addition to Curry and her group Anointed. Whitney Curry is thrilled about her debut single, “Come Fill This House”. “I am so excited about this release,” says Whitney. “It’s refreshing to do this. I know it’s the right time and the right season for this song and my upcoming CD. Apostle Weeks spoke to both Restine and I prophetically and told us to ‘go do it’. That was a confirmation to me that this was the time for this record.”
“Worship is what I do,” explains Whitney. “I have a sound of worship in my belly. Anointed and I want to deliver a worship experience every time we sing,” she says. That fact is apparent on the beautiful worship song, “Come Fill This House”, penned by Restine. It’s a memorable track perfect for those times of intimacy with the Lord.
“Worship is important to the believer because God’s word says that He wants us to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Scripture also says that God is seeking those to worship Him. For me, worship is my strength. Only those who have a real relationship with God can go to a place of worship with Him. That’s what my ministry is all about; it’s about bringing believers into a closer relationship with God.”
Worship and music have been an important part of Whitney’s life for quite a while. She has been singing with her brother, Restine, since she was 12. She pursued her musical passion by receiving her education at Bowie State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a minor in Business Administration. That pursuit was followed by a call to the ministry in 2001. Although she had been singing for much of her life, it wasn’t until recently that she felt led to step out to launch her own ministry. She was planning to move forward in music ministry last year, but tabled her plans after her father fell ill. Now she’s ready to release the sound she feels God has placed within her. With the full support of her brother, she’s stepping out into new territory.
Restine Jackson has been ministering in song recently as well. Promoting his brand new single, “Nobody”, he has been to Aiken, SC, for WAAW’s Shoutfest and will be performing at this weekend’s concert. In addition, he’s scheduled to perform on WATC-TV’s Babbie’s House and Atlanta Live on October 8th and on TBN in Memphis on October 9th. Also, on November 12th, he’s scheduled to perform on TCT’s program, “Celebrate”. Connect with Whitney Curry and Restine Jackson on Wondrous World Records’ Page on Facebook.
