Lovers of worship will enjoy the ministry of Christian Anderson. Worship is at the heart of who she is. She says, “I consider myself a worshipper – and not just because I can sing,” says Christian. “To me, worship is a lifestyle. It’s what I live out every day; it’s who I am. I believe worship is important to the believer. It’s how we stay connected to God. In order for my life to go in the direction that God wants it to go, I must hear from Him. I must worship Him, read His word and seek Him daily to stay in His will. Being connected to Him helps people see His reflection in me.”
The daughter of a preacher and a minister of music, Gospel music was a huge part of her life. Gospel tunes filled her home in Jackson, TN, and she was a frequent lead vocalist in her church choir. Although Christian had been singing for all of her life, she entered the national Gospel music scene with the debut of her single, “So Good”. The neo-soul inspired jam showcased not only Christian’s unique voice, but her impressive songwriting skills as well. The crossover tune resonated with those inside and outside the church. Her sophomore single, “Lift Your Name”, a memorable worship anthem, released on January 28, 2018. Both tracks can be found on the artist’s DVD entitled “I’m An Overcomer: Live in Worship”. The project is a testimonial for the artist and is a musical celebration of perseverance.
Christian is a former member of the Gospel ensemble Donté Everheart & Endtime Movement. She lent her vocals to Kurt Carr’s live recording, “Bless This House”, and was featured as a lead vocalist during the European Tour of the Alabama Gospel Choir.
